There are many amateur players who set CS:GO pro crosshair options. This is not surprising, because in most cases, if you are a fan of some pro player, you want to have a small part of him in your game, right? Despite the fact, that in theory the change of the crosshair to one of the pro crosshairs does not help, in practice it can boost your confidence in the game (by looking at psychological things). We do not have any official research or resources about that, but just ask yourself – did not you feel more excited after changing to your idol crosshair? Many will somehow agree!

Crosshair tips

Tip 1 Change your crosshair once in a while

When you start playing more and more, over time your brain will get used to your crosshair. Although it sounds positive, it actually affects the game’s performance negatively. The result is less focus on the main point of the CS:GO, ie the crosshair. Therefore, we recommend changing the crosshair once in a while, and in particular when you get incosicents! Thanks to this, in some way you will cheat your brain and give him extra stimulus, and thus you will be able to focus in-game.

Developing the thought of changing the crosshair during the period of inconsistency. We recommend changing the color and minimizing or increasing the crosshair size for a few days when you notice a drop in form and you do not know the reason. Then after a few days, return to the previous main crosshair. Try it on yourself, and it is very possible that you will start to get better and return to previous, good results.

Tip 2 Use static or semi-static crosshair style

Looking at the above settings of professional players, you can see one similarly. Most csgo pros use a static or semi-static crosshair! Dynamic crosshairs are cool, in the style of those in Call of duty, however, at CS:GO they are not developed good enough to be able to give extra benefits for the players. On a simple example, after setting the dynamic crosshair. You start to run when your enemy leans around the corner. You lose valuable fractions of a second to return your crosshair to the static version, and thus you can not shoot a precise shot. Understand? Therefore, you should choose and get used to the static style, which worked perfectly well, even in previous versions of Counter-Strike.

Tip 3 Do not test the crosshair only in offline mode

At the moment when you are looking for a new crosshair settings and you can not decide on which you play better, just do not judge it only visually! Do not enter the offline server without bots, to see which crosshair you like the most. It’s better if you choose a few crosshairs settins and devote some matches or days to choose one perfect match.

The point is to check your new crosshair in action, so play a few rounds against real players! It is also a good idea to check the crosshairs on the CS:GO training maps – if it turns out that you are better and you shoot better with one particular crosshair, you may have found your new perfect crosshair settings!

Tip 4 Create your own stuff

Of course, you can copy one of the above pro crosshair settings and play in person. However, it is worth having something of your own and at least minimally changing the ready-made settings. You have to remember that pro players play at different resolutions and there is a large probability that you also play on a different one. Depending on the resolution and video settings, the crosshair will be different (eg. pro player on his resolution see a small crosshair, and you with the same crosshair-settings will see a large one).

If you are just starting an adventure with a CS: GO or you have never been interested in the settings in this game, please spend a few days, check different crosshair settings and choose your own! Some will prefer smaller crosshair, while others will prefer the old style from CS 1.6, i.e. a large, static green colored crosshair. We can not answer the question, which will work best for you, that’s why you have to check and evaluate it yourself.

Of course, you can not forget that crosshair is just one of the dozens of aspects in the CS:GO! There are tips and tricks on the crosshairs, but it does not make you suddenly win all matches. To be able to play at the highest level and compete with the best players, you have to start training!
